The Good, The Bad and the Nasty Pantomime
Cast Announced for Stockport Plaza

This year’s seasonal offering Aladdin commencing on Friday 7th December and running until Sunday 6th January 2013 promises to be another box office smash with a cast that is the best of the best and the nastiest of the nasty!

By outstanding popular demand CRAIG PERRY who has appeared in the title roles for the last two years returns to the Plaza as Aladdin alongside Stockport’s very own PAUL ARDEN-GRIFFITH who during his glittering career has performed as a dancer at the Sadler’s Wells Theatre and performed as principal tenor with the English National Opera and The Royal Opera, Covent Garden, whilst one of his most famous roles was as Monsieur Reyer in the original stage production of The Phantom of The Opera.

Everyone loves a good genie and who better to entertain the thousands of happy families that join us each festive season at the Plaza than DAVE BENSON PHILLIPS, the hilarious and mad cap star of children’s television who has entertained most of the children in the UK over the last 30 years with his stage and television shows including GET YOUR OWN BACK of which there have now been 14 series
~ The Bad and The REALLY NASTY ~

Starring as Abanazar, this years star of the show is none other than JOHN ALTMAN known to Millions of television fans as NASTY NICK COTTON of Eastenders Fame. John’s career began at the Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House in 1976 when he started as assistant stage manager and fly man behind the scenes but he soon made the move into theatrical and television appearances including theatre credits for Bill Sykes in Oliver!, Lucky Eric in Bouncers, Billy Flynn in Chicago the Musical and Glenn Miller in American Patrol whilst television credits include Knight School, Minder, The Paradise Club and of course Eastenders where he recently returned to reek havoc on Dot and the rest of Albert Square.

As well as television and stage, John is no stranger to the silver screen and film credits include – The First Great Train Robbery, Quadrophenia, American Werewolf in London and Return of the Jedi whilst his demand for starring roles in pantomimes throughout the UK has seem him appearing at number one Pantomime venues as far afield as Wolverhampton, Eastbourne, Reading and now the North West’s Premier Pantomime Venue – The Stockport Plaza
