Café La Belle and its stunning live "drag" cabaret was the first show bar to open on the island of Gran Canaria and its flamboyant cabaret has entertained holidaymakers from across the world for two decades. Almost overnight it has transformed from a bar from an unknown newcomer to the hottest ticket in town and was lauded by both customers and reviewers alike. Now, after leaving its Canary Island home for the first time, its due to launch at Manchester 235 - the city’s premier nightlife destination - bringing its spectacular multi-coloured stage extravaganza to 235 Live. Originally opening in June 1988, the Café La Belle concept quickly became a phenomenon and after two decades it has been one of the main tourist attractions on the popular holiday island. Now the director of the show is proud to bring the renowned Café La Belle cabaret show to his home city for the first time, and with more feathers than ever seen before! Siobhan McGoff, marketing manager for Manchester 235 said, "We are delighted that Café La Belle will be coming to Manchester 235. seem to shoot straight out over their
heads! Vile Victorians: They
take a look at the tricks children
used to get up to get money off people;
the naughty things they used to do
with poo; the Battle of the Crimea;
the Charge of the Light Brigade, all
done with 3D, so once again the children

Hardman
Boulevard at Spinningfields, in the
heart of the city centre development,
will be transformed into the ultimate
winter fun destination, complete with
dazzling ice rink, sparkling Christmas
trees and contemporary yuletide decorations.
The family-friendly attraction will
open at its new home on Thursday 20
November 2008 until Sunday 4 January
2009, giving everyone an opportunity
to take a spin on the ice. If you
get your skates on and visit the rink
between Thursday 20th to Friday 28th
November, everybody will get the chance
to skate at a special introductory
rate of £5 per person. Book

Usual price for tickets for a one-hour
session including skate hire will
cost £8.50 for Adults, £7.50
for 13-16 year olds, Senior Citizens
and Students (with NUS card) and £6
for 6-12 year olds. Children aged

Lorna Luft, daughter of Judy Garland, stars in The Wizard of Oz. Wizard of Oz is back by popular demand and we are delighted to welcome international star Lorna Luft as the Wicked Witch. Daughter of legendary Judy Garland (the original Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz), Lorna found fame on stage and screen, performing spectacular concerts on Broadway and the West End and most recently, enormous success with the international tour of her show, Songs My Mother Taught Me. For her appearance at The Lowry, Lorna will wow us as the Wicked Witch of the West, in the stage production of the film that her mother made so famous.
