The Creative Genius of Powell and Pressburger: Reflections
This one hour discussion between Pamela Hutchinson, a freelance critic, curator and film historian whose publications include BFI Film Classics on The Red Shoes and Pandora’s Box, and Andrew Moor, Reader in Cinema History at Manchester Metropolitan University, will begin with some thoughts about the importance of The Red Shoes, the film which brings the UK-wide Powell and Pressburger film season to a close.
Pamela and Andrew will then reflect on what makes Powell and Pressburger relevant today and will consider the influence they have had on subsequent creative work.
