Works Ahead 2022

The triple bill evening sees a one-man work-in-progress about revolution, hope, and our capacity for change; a macabre film about how we see others; and a lo-fi solo symphony of words and movement.
This year’s Works Ahead, a sample of new work-in-development, picks up where Word of Warning were interrupted in 2020 — showing the now finished live version of Will Dickie’s White alongside a re-imagined development of Ross McCaffrey’s Sometimes history needs a push.
Word of Warning also commissioned two artists in 2021, and will now present the digital outcome of Helena Ascough’s What A Clown!, with Jade Williams’ work coming to fruition in 2023.
Age Advisory: 16+ (parental/guardian discretion).
Content Warnings: may disturb, please click here for specific warnings.
Features: live + recorded speech, projected visuals, choreographed movement.
Duration: A triple bill with intervals, lasting about 2¼ hrs
