INSCAPE
MUSIC FESTIVAL at
the Lowry (Quays Theatre) |
|
| Wednesday
2nd July 2008 - 11am & 2pm |
| A
selection of music and songs performed by students
from Special Educational Needs schools in Greater
Manchester. Taking part this year will be: Elms
Bank, Valley Special School, Springwood School,
Piper Hill Special School, Cromwell Special
School, Chatsworth High School, Brentwood Special
School, The Birches School, Inscape Cheadle,
Inscape Salford, Bridge College and Music Unlimited.
The aim of the festival was always two fold.
Firstly to provide opportunities for Special
Needs children to perform in a concert setting
and secondly to share experiences. The early
theme was one of Working Together and this year
will be based on the Song ‘We’ve
all got something to give’. The Lowry
is an ideal setting for the children and students
and represents the 6 year growth of the events
first performance by three schools at Inscape
Salford in 2003. The Together Trust acknowledges
the support of The Lowry in helping the Summer
Festival of The performing Arts and Sue Nichols
for her support.
