Disney Live!
takes centre stage at the Opera House. Blast
off to adventure with your favorite Playhouse
Disney pals when Playhouse Disney Live! comes
to your hometown. Climb aboard and get ready
to explore with the Little Einsteins Leo, Annie,
Quincy and June on an important musical mission;
say “Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse”
and sing along with Mickey and the gang at the
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse; and stop by Sheetrock
Hills where Handy Manny always has the right

May 14th to 17th, A
Midsummer Night's Dream
can be seen at the Palace Theatre.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY!!! Northern
Ballet Theatre brings its magic to Shakespeare’s
most bewitching play in this critically acclaimed
dance version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The romantic antics of a touring dance company
are played out on one midsummer night as the
company travels by sleeper train from London
to Edinburgh. Dior inspired costumes and stylish
black and white sets provide a dazzling contrast
to the glorious Technicolor of the dream-world,
whilst David Nixon’s choreography brings
out the comedy, romance and entanglements of
this enchanting story. Set to music by Mendelssohn
and Brahms, A Midsummer Night’s Dream
is one of NBT’s most magical productions.
There
is a 2.30pm matinee on the Thursday and Saturday.

Ballet - Jewels, Gala and Don Quixote can

at the Bridgewater on May 18th is Elvis
On Tour.
It features a full evening show paying tribute
to the early days of ‘pure hip-swivelling
‘ rock n roll, the ‘68 Come Back
Special’ and Elvis's Las Vegas performances.
This serious production features LEE ‘MEMPHIS’
KING, the UK’s most successful Elvis impersonator,
finalist in “The Worlds Greatest Elvis”
and in the special edition of “The Weakest

April 9th to May 24th, The
Glass Menagerie can be seen at the Royal
Exchange. Starring Brenda Blethyn who is a BAFTA-award
winner, a Golden Globe winner, and a two-time
Oscar nominee. When her troubled son finally
invites a workmate round for dinner, an overbearing
mother sees a potential suitor for her shy daughter,

May 14th to 17th, Tough
Times, Nice Times is
on stage at the Library Theatre. A secret, a
spa in Bangkok and two naked Germans…
Martin, an ex-rent boy drug-dealing lawyer,
offers to share his tales of misfortune with
Stefan, a jaded hack writer on a junket. Together
they engage in an intricate exchange of outrageous
stories, weaving through movies, sex, celebrity
and genocide. With its razor-sharp dialogue
and lightning pace, Tough Time, Nice Time is
challenging, vividly imaginative, and utterly
absorbing. This production is suitable for adults
