An afternoon double bill of Edinburgh Festival preview shows from two of the region’s most exciting comics, Chris Cantrill and Erika Ehler.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Erika won the Chortle Student Comedy Award in 2019 while studying at the University of Salford, and has since written for shows like Late Night Mash (Dave) and Never Mind the Buzzcocks (Sky), to name but a few. She was most recently seen in Sara Pascoe’s Comedians Giving Lectures (Dave)! Her razor-sharp, dark and visceral writing paired with precise delivery makes her one of the most exciting young comedians on the circuit. Her show promises to be nothing less than exceptional.

Bradford-born, Salford-based Chris is one-half of the surreal cult double act The Delightful Sausage who were nominated for Dave’s prestigious ‘Best Show’ award at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival. Since making his telly debut on Harry Hill’s Clubnite (Channel 4), Chris has appeared on Question Team (Dave), made recurrent appearances on Late Night Mash (Dave) and he even appeared in the BAFTA-winning sitcom, Alma’s Not Normal (BBC 2). His show is about when he was in prison for ages.
