Into the Melting Pot: Songwriting Workshop (Tuesday 7th May)

Do you love to write? Or have an interest in exploring music? It doesn?t matter if you?ve never written songs before, we are an open group for anyone of any ability! This month we are excited to welcome groundbreaking music and theatre company, The Telling, to our museum. The team would like to invite you to a series of workshops exploring the power of music and song to tell stories, and we would love you to join us! Across three 2-hour workshops, led by musician Sarah Atter, we will delve into ideas around home, journeys and sharing our own voices and experiences through sound. The workshops will culminate in an informal showcase for family and friends. The workshops are free and we would encourage you to attend all 3 sessions. Artists: Clare Norburn, Steph Williams and Sarah Atter WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW The session is open to anyone aged 18 and over, of any level that is interested in exploring music and song writing? beginners and seasoned pros! The workshop is 2 hours long and there will be refreshments provided.?There is no need to bring anything to the session, but if you?d like to bring an instrument you would be more than welcome to.
