Queer As…The Body
Sex educators and queer speakers from across the UK take part in a series of discussions at Contact as part of their Queer as F**k programme.
Today’s talk explores body neutrality and self-acceptance – how can loving our own skin help us have healthy relationships (including our relationships with ourselves)? Suriya Aisha from the podcast series Sickbabe will introduce the event, before handing over to Ruby Rare and Rosy Pendlebaby from the Body Love Sketch Club. At 5.30pm Rosy and Ruby will host a portrait drawing workshop with a difference – come to draw, to be drawn, and to celebrate your body.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Body Love Sketch Club is a body positivity and creative empowerment project run by performer and artist Rosy Pendlebaby, and sex educator and artist Ruby Rare. These two queer, happy, colourful ladies, have been running joyful, arty workshops together since 2018. Together, their aim is to share the empowering, healing potential of drawing spaces to liberate our bodies, and our inner artists.

She is the founder of LGBT POC network @unmutedbrum and host of podcast @sickbabepod, which platforms the experiences of womxn and non-binary people living with physical invisible disabilities.
