AGORA - Rory A. Green + Izzy + NØELLE
A night of ecclectic collaboration featuring jazz, folk and electronic artists from across the UK.
Agora is a project aiming to encourage collaboration from artists within different scenes across the UK to create an ecclectic night of genre bending music. This month's Agora will feature:
Rory A. Green
Rory A. Green is a jazz guitarist and composer based in the heart of Manchester, U.K.
Focusing who centres his work around infections rhythms, melodies and improvisation taking inspiration from musicians like Matthew Halsall, John Scofield Stuart McCallum.
Izzy is a Manchester based musician currently focusing on percussion, synthesis and live looping.
Taking inspiration from classic West African artists like Fela Kuti and The Lijadu Sisters, Izzy hopes to create a rhythmically enjoyable and heavily ‘feelings’ based approach to live performance. They insist that you always go with your gut and trust the power of improvisation!
NØELLE is a Manchester based Cinematic Electronic musician bridging the gap between electronic and classical music through her use of analogue, digital and acoustic elements.
Taking inspiration from Aurora and Kelsey Lu, NØELLE encompasses grand vocal enviroments through the use of live looping and granular synthesis and meshes these elements with her classically inspired electronic productions influenced by the likes of Tourist, Leon Vynehall and The Cinematic Orchestra.
