What's On at Lowry, Salford

Lowry at Salford Quays opened in 2000 and boasts two theatres, a drama studio, galleries, and events spaces.  The Lyric is the largest UK stage outside the West End with a capacity of 1730. The Quays has a capacity of 440.  It hosts diverse events and shows from operas, dance, musicals, plays, comedy, exhibitions, visual / digital arts, and workshops and has premiered shows such as 42 Balloons.

A registered charity, Lowry offer free creative participation opportunities.  Their eight partner companies are Access All Areas, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Far From the Norm, LUNG, National Theatre, Ockham’s Razor, Opera North and Rambert.
