What's On at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester
Old Trafford Cricket Ground, also known as Emirates Old Trafford, opened in 1857 as the home ground for Manchester Cricket Club. In 1864, it became the home for Lancashire County Cricket Club, who have been there ever since. It is England’s 2nd oldest Test venue.
This record-breaking ground has not only hosted the Cricket World Cup and the Ashes, but has also hosted some of the world’s biggest music stars in a variety of concerts, events, and gigs. It’s capacity for Test matches is 22’000, 15’000 for other matches, and around 50’000 for music concerts!
Concerts have included David Bowie, Oasis, Bruce Springsteen, Take That, Coldplay, Bon Jovi, Beyonce, and following the Manchester Arena bomb, Arianna Grande hosted the One Love Manchester concert which saw artists from across the world coming together to support Manchester.
