Educating Rita
This comedy premiered in 1980 and is still an entertaining staple of theatres around the country.
Young Liverpudlian hairdresser Susan signs up for an Open University Course run by middle-aged, alcoholic, cynic, Frank. She loves the promise of a bohemian lifestyle. He falls for her verve and earnestness. However, their newfound ways of looking at the world are soon clouded by disillusionment and reality. Their meeting means neither will be the same person again.
