Fever Ray

Fever Ray, aka Karin Dreijer, one half of the Grammy-winning Gothenburg brother-sister electronic duo The Knife, who disbanded in 2014, is one of pop’s true visionaries.

Speaking to both the heart and the head, the dance floor and the bedroom, their music is dramatically different from The Knife, while recognisably the work of the same artist. It's still constructed on electronic foundations and embellished with traditional instrumentation (guitar here, congas there).

Working with brother and fellow The Knife member Olof Dreijer for the first time in eight years, their 2023 album, Radical Romantics, has been co-produced by and features the power duo of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Nine Inch Nails) among others.

One thing's for sure - in a country with a wealth of leftfield pop artists, Karin Dreijer sounds like no one but herself.
