Henrik Freischlader
German blues guitarist Henrik Freischlader took up the instrument after being totally inspired by Gary Moore, and has gone on to siupport Joe Bonamassa, B.B. King, Gary Moore, Peter Green, and Johnny Winter.
Born in Cologne, his gigs in Germany are always sold out and he was nominated for a British Blues Award; a rare honour for a German blues musician.
The funky, smoking grooves and concise solos that rise elegantly from some well crafted intricately layered, mid tempo works of sculptured art, also reflect the self reliance and the fierce independent streak of an artist who is very much his own man.
