Paterson Joseph - Sancho & Me
Performed by Paterson Joseph (Wonka, Timeless) and accompanying musicians led by Ben Park, and based on Joseph’s novel The Secret Diaries of Ignatius Sancho.
Charles Ignatius Sancho was born on a slave ship on the Atlantic in 1729, yet he became a writer, composer and the first black person to vote in the UK.
The show opens with the premiere of an opera by Streetwise Opera, and will also feature a Q&A with Paterson, performances by RNCM Opera students, foyer workshops, exhibitions and an after-show performance by Lavender Rodriguez.
