Stars Come Out For Francis House

Compere Jim Nicholas presents this year's Stars Come Out For Francis House raising money for the Manchester based Children's Hospice.

Herman’s Hermits are an English beat rock and pop group formed in 1964 in Manchester, originally called Herman and His Hermits and featuring lead singer Peter Noone. Produced by Mickie Most, they charted with number ones in the UK and in America, where they ranked as one of the most successful acts in the Beatles led British Invasion. Peter Noone left the band in 1971 The band continues to tour today, with Barry Whitwam as the only remaining member from the original line-up.

Liverpool's The Fourmost had its roots steeped in the eclectic 1960s Mersey beat boom and was part of the Brian Epstein stable along with The Beatles, Billy J Kramer, Gerry and The Pacemakers, Cilla Black and others. They are one of the most authentic 1960s bands currently on the circuit today, from their Vox amps, Rickenbacker guitars and Ludwig drums down to their Italian made slim-fitted suits and Cuban heel boots.
