A cheekily combative comedy about a devoted mother who, after her son’s coming-out, decides to overcome her own prejudices to fight for LGBTQ+ rights in the 1970s, when homosexuality was still a crime in Spain.

Seville, 1977. 50-year-old Reme, a widow, is proud that her son Miguel is going to become the first person in the family to go to university.

But what Miguel really wants is to be an artiste and sing in a popular television competition.
