The Hope Mill 200th Birthday Family Fun Day

Hope Mill Theatre with the support from the Lottery Heritage Fund present a free Family Fun Day.

This year marks 200 years of Hope Mill, and they are throwing a party to celebrate.

Built in 1824 and originally used as a fustian weaving and cotton mill, Hope Mill was at the beating heart of the industrial community.

Fast forward 200 years, and Hope Mill has been cast in a new role at the centre of Ancoats’ creative community.

The grounds of Hope Mill will be transformed into a Victorian style funfair, complete with rides, stalls, food and live entertainment. There may even be a donkey or two…

Ancoats is where the modern ice cream cone was invented, so in honour of this there will be free ice cream on the day. Need we say more?

This event is completely free, but you’ll need to book in advance.
