The Jesus and Mary Chain + The Psychedelic Furs

The Jesus and Mary Chain + The Psychedelic Furs

A co-headline gig from two of the most influential British rock bands of all time.

The Jesus & Mary Chain are one of the UK's most influential groups embrace a maelstrom of sweet melody, searing feedback and controlled chaos, informed deeper by their love for Suicide and Kraftwerk, as well as a passion for the spontaneous side of the jazz spectrum.

East Kilbride brothers Jim & William Reid's post-modern alt-rock band enjoyed Top 10 singles "April Skies" in 1987 and "Reverence" in 1992 among other hits which display their combination of guitar feedback and traditional pop song structures, which proved influential on the forthcoming shoegaze and noise pop genres and alternative rock scenes in general. They’ve served as an inspiration to everyone from My Bloody Valentine to Dinosaur Jr.

Formed in London in 1977, the highly influential The Psychedelic Furs have gone on to become legends of the alternative music scene with their unique blend of post-punk, new wave, new pop, and alt-pop.

Over their career they've enjoyed five UK Top 20 albums and also charted in the UK Top 20 with the 1986 hit single "Pretty In Pink" while the classic "Love My Way" was recently featured in the Netflix sensation 'Stranger Things'.
