Six extraordinary acrobats but only one winner. Who will be the "new face of circus"?
Part talent show, part beauty pageant with a touch of the Hunger Games, Showdown, from multi-award-winning UK-based contemporary circus company Upswing, combines the thrill and risk-taking of contemporary circus with irreverent humour.
The audience will choose a winner as six contestants battle it out to reach the top but choices are never easy, and as the game unfolds, audiences question their role in ensuring the winner is the right winner.
Through audience interaction and sharp comedy, the show unpacks the complexity of the unwritten rules of the social game we all play.
