Adrianne Lenker (Big Thief)
A once-in-a-generation songwriter – best known as the lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter of American indie folk band Big Thief.
Born in Indianapolis and raised in a Christian cult until the age of four, before growing up in Minnesota, she met Buck Meek in 2013 and the duo went on to become Big Thief.
In the hands of Lenker, song writing is not an old dead craft. It is alive. It is vital.
