Christian Petzold's summertime dram - the second instalment of his so-called "elemental trilogy" - follows a self-centred writer (Thomas Schubert) who heads down to a beach house with his friend to finish his novel. Once there, they encounter some locals, whose presence disturbs their tranquility and throws them off balance.
