An Evening with Ricky Tomlinson
In conversation about his life and career, with BBC Radio Merseyside presenter and established singer and entertainer Asa Murphy, Eric “Ricky” Tomlinson is an English actor (and former plasterer) best known for his television roles as Bobby Grant in the soap opera Brookside(1982-1988), DCI Charlie Wise in Cracker(1993-2006) and Jim Royle In The Royle Family (1998-2012).
He also played the tie character in mockumentary Mike Bassett: England Manager. He has also started in the BBC series Nice Guy Eddie and Clocking Off aswell as the film Nativity with Martin Freeman and 51st state with Samuel L Jackson.
