Autumn Steam Gala Night Goods Train

Soak in the unique atmosphere of an evening/night-time goods service. 

Experience the railway from the veranda of a brake van as the sun sets over the Irwell Valley.

The Night Goods Train commences at Bury Bolton Street Station, and travels the whole line over the course of the evening. Passengers can hop on and off the goods train throughout the evening, and the ticket is valid on all services below. Tickets are very limited, and guarantee a space on all journeys. Remember you MUST also purchase an Autumn Steam Gala Rover ticket valid for Saturday 17th October

Ticket Information and Terms and Conditions.

You must be possession of a Autumn Steam Gala Rover ticket valid for Saturday 17th October. Travel will only be allowed on presentation of both tickets. 

Residents Permit holders and ELPRS Members can buy an advance Night Goods Train ticket, but YOU MUST purchase your discounted Autumn Steam Gala rover ticket on the day.

Night Goods Train tickets are valid only for this service.

The following Terms and Conditions are deemed accepted by anyone purchasing a Night Goods Train ticket:

Age: 18 Years +
Minimum height: 5ft / 1.52m
Must be physically able to board and alight the brake van unassisted.

East Lancashire Railway staff members can refuse travel to anyone not compliant or unfit to travel.

Due to the age and design of the Brake Vans , we are unable to accept people who require the assistance of a mobility scooter/walking aid or wheelchair.

Customers will not be permitted to board if they are under the influence of alcohol.
