Bernard Wrigley

Affectionately known as The Bolton Bullfrog, Bernard Wrigley has been delighting audiences all over for fifty years now.
He’s forged a reputation with seriously daft songs and humorous monologues, together with his highly respected ability on the guitar.
He’s an actor as well as a singer and storyteller: he’s been Barry Clegg, the hapless rocket builder whose wife Lisa left him for Zak Dingle in Emmerdale; he spent three episodes complaining in Dinner Ladies with Victoria Wood; and then he was Dodgy Eric in Phoenix Nights with Peter Kay, where he insisted that Brian Potter hire a bouncy castle with a fifteen feet phallic extension.
Radio listeners will have heard Bernard’s contributions to the Mark Radcliffe programmes on Radios 1 and 2. Drama lovers will recognise his dulcet tones from quite a few plays and serials on Radio 4 as well.
In this show, he’ll be performing his unique blend of songs, stories, monologues, very silly one verse poems and guitar playing.
