Brew With The Bard - Actors' Workshop
Brew with the Bard is a practical workshop, followed by a public sharing of selected Shakespeare scenes and a networking event.
Are you a professional actor based in the North West?
Are you in between jobs and looking for an answer to the dreaded question ?what have you been up to recently??
Are you looking for a space to practice your craft where you can play, perform and connect with other local creatives?
Are you interested in performing Shakespeare? Or do you want to grow your confidence when tackling Shakespeare?s text?
Then Brew with the Bard is the event for you!
Brew with the Bard is a practical workshop, followed by a public sharing of selected Shakespeare scenes and a networking event.
Think of it like an acting class, but with a credit for your Spotlight and a chance to be seen by a supportive audience, industry professionals and friends.
You apply- we take care of the rest until the day of the event.
PLAY On the day there will be a workshop that will include elements such as voice technique, connection to text and deciphering Shakespeare?s language. You will be cast in at least one scene from a Shakespeare play, followed by time to rehearse with the company. Every participant will receive direction and support from the facilitators.
PERFORM The workshop will be followed by an informal sharing in the theatre bar. Tickets are available for friends, family, Shakespeare fans and invited industry guests to attend on a Pay What You Decide basis.
CONNECT The day then finishes with a networking event so it?s time to celebrate by having a brew (or a bevvy) and a good natter in the bar.
Tiring House Productions was formed to create a space for actors, by actors. The Tiring House was the name given to the backstage area at Shakespeare?s Globe and other theatres at the time, where the actors would gather and get ready for performance. This middle space ? part training, part sharing ? is what we offer with Brew with the Bard. Let?s meet there!
