Well known for the level of extreme technicality they bring to every record, the Buffalo, New York, Death Metal outfit's hellish opus is state of the art death metal played with passion and breathless precision. Ever improving on the genre they helped define, they somehow manage to continue raising the bar.
The band's album art (most often by Vincent Locke) and lyrics, drawing heavily on horror fiction and horror films, are highly controversial and have seen several countries, such as Germany, Canada and Russia, banning their concerts or the sale and display of original Cannibal Corpse album covers.
