Connecticut metalcore band Currents were formed in 2011 by former drummer Jeff Brown, although after numerous line-up changes, since 2018, no original members remain with the band.
Described as metalcore and progressive metal, with influences of djent, they incorporate heavy riffs, breakdowns, djent guitars, and melodic rhythms with singer Brian Wille alternating between clear and screaming vocals.
