The humble DMU takes the spotlight for this annual event at East Lancashire Railway.
These diesel railcars may be small, but they arepacked with personality. Plans include a diesel locomotive-hauled “drag” and aride out past Heywood Station.
The line-up includes Class 104, Class 105 “Cravens”,Class 110 “Calder Valley”, Class 122 “Bubblecar” and Class 144 “Pacer.
