Howard Hewett (Shalamar)
The ever-soulful Howard Hewett rose to international prominence as lead singer with the global hit making trio Shalamar, one of the most successful soul groups in history.
In 1985, he left the group to pursue his solo career, scoring hits "Show Me", "I'm For Real", "Stay" and "This Is for the Lover in You" (with Babyface, LL Cool J, Jody Watley, and Jeffrey Daniel), before rejoining Shalamar in 2001.
