Jazzette with Carol Jason
FREE Lunchtime concert.
Jazzette are led by Carol Jason, a bassist and vocalist specialising in traditional Jewish music and jazz standards. She’ll be joined by pianist and vocalist Andy Gleave.
Born in Withington, Carol grew up in a family of Jewish musicians. As such, traditional Jewish music has always run parallel to Carol’s jazz and popular music career. She met other Jewish musicians through her synagogue and, has always included Jewish folk and traditional songs in her repertoire, as well as continuing to perform Jewish music with her family.
Having performed worldwide in multiple bands, appeared on TV at the London Palladium, raising money for Children in Need and as a contestant on BBC’s Rock Till We Drop show, Jason promises to put on a truly memorable performance!
