An evening with Doves star Jimi Goodwin with special guest host Elbow's Guy Garvey and interactive DJ Agent J.

Rising to prominence in the 1990s with the dance Music Group, Sub Sub, Jimi and his Bandmates, brothers Andy and Jez Williams achieved major chart success before the three made a radical shift in sound to become the Band Doves, with Jimi taking on the role of lead singer, bassist and Co Songwriter.

The trio gained plaudits as one of Britain’s most acclaimed acts with Mercury Prize-nominated albums, multiple UK Top 5 records in the singles and album charts and Three UK No.1 albums. 

Renowned for his distinctive voice, Doves evocative songwriting and atmospheric soundscapes, Goodwin has collaborated and shared creative links with leading figures from the Manchester music scene and beyond. Alongside his collaborations, Jimi has continued to evolve artistically through his ongoing experimental hip hop project under the ‘Nom de plume’ - NightjaR. 

Long time friend, collaborator and bonafide Manchester music royalty, Guy Garvey - lead singer of Elbow - will host the live in conversation alongside another great friend, DJ Agent J, book marking records that have had and have particular significance in his journey thus far.
