Before De La Soul, before A Tribe Called Quest, before Native Tongues there was Jungle Brothers.
Hailed as pioneers of the fusion of jazz, hip-hop, and house music, the New York trio were the first hip-hop group to collaborate with a house-music producer in 1988, scoring UK Top 40 hits "Jungle Brother", "I'll House You", "Because I Got It Like That", "What 'U' Waitin' '4'?", "Breathe (Don't Stop)", "Doin' Our Own Dang" (featuring A Tribe Called Quest, Queen Latifah, Monie Love & De La Soul) and the FIFA 2000 soundtrack "V.I.P.".
