Kairos Duo
Tom (percussion) and Carys (saxophone) both graduated from the RNCM in 2024 with MMus Distinctions and have since enjoyed busy careers as professional freelance musicians and solo artists. New music is vital to the essence of KairosDuo, who have commissioned and premiered several new works. As a duo, they have recorded new works for the ensemble at the famous Abbey Road Studios, given world premiere performances of works by Jenni Watson, Jos Cole, Greg Simon and Steve Danyew, as well as re-arranging much-loved repertoire for the unique and rare instrument combination. They have performed at reputable UK music venues including the International Anthony Burgess Foundation and the Buxton Opera House.
