Laughta
Born in Nigeria and of Lebanese descent, Laughta is a rising star who grew up in London, and started rapping in the UK Grime Scene. Her multi-cultural background paints her unique style, however it’s her wordplay and flow levels that’s got the scene pushing for her.
It’s the young rapper’s natural charisma and storytelling that define her against an increasingly vibrant London scene and she has featured on BBC3 TV show, "Galdem Sugar". The 6-episode series, follows the lives of 5 strong women in the Grime scene, available to watch on BBC Iplayer. Each week, the Galdem Sugar also record a no holds barred podcast for BBC Sounds, shining a light on what it’s like being a female artist in a male skewing industry, as well as addressing issues like image, social media and mental health.
