Lowry Open Day 2023
Always one of the highlights of The Lowry’s calendar, the annual Open Day is back bigger and better than ever for 2023 and will feature a wide range of fun and interactive activities for visitors of all ages.
From sneak-peak backstage tours to stand-up comedy masterclasses, family-friendly gallery tours – led by some of LS Lowry’s most well-loved characters to LS Lowry Gin Cocktail making, and music & dancing on the Plaza to life-drawing – there’s so much to see and do.
The Julia and Axel – Thirty Years of Favourite Stories exhibition is very popular and has had amazing reviews. When you arrive at The Lowry Open Day there will be a queueing system for the exhibition. These will be issued on a first come, first served basis with slots throughout the day.

10:00 - 16:00 - The Highway Rat Storytelling Camp.

10:00 - 16:00 - Outdoor Games.
10:00 - 16:00 - Life drawing (art class).
10:00 - 16:00 - Crafty families (art class).
10:30 - 15:00 - Lowry Family Tours.
11:00 - 12:00 - African Dance performance and workshop.
11:00 - 13:30 - Edy Hurst’s Joke writing Machine & Comedy puppet factory.
