Magical Animals - A Tribute to Jackie Hagan

"Working class Queer Crip and amputee" Jackie meant a lot of things to a lot of people: award-winning playwright, performer, poet, activist, friend and Magical Animal... but what Jackie loved even more than a jumble sale was a lively, messy poetry night.

The award-winning performance poet and playwright from Skelmersdale died at the age of 43, after a long illness, in 2024.

Jackie hosted her own poetry night, Magical Animals, and we're bringing it back for one night only, with Jackie Hagan’s favourite poets, performers, and friends filling the room with her and the original event’s spirit. The kind of night where you can revel in humour, emotions, friendships, and collaborations.

So, please join us for a celebration of Jackie Hagan: the original Magical Animal.
