Make It Rugelach (All ages welcome)

Make It Rugelach (All ages welcome)
Join us for a hands-on baking workshop where you?ll get to bake your very own Rugelach! Rugelach is a Yiddish word. Some translate the root of the word as ?little twist? and it also has links to Polish where ?r?g? can mean corner or horn. It?s a cream cheese dough normally rolled with a sweet filling such as chocolate or jam. Tasty! We?ll learn more about Polish Jewish stories from our collection linked to the origin of this small, delightful pastry. You?ll then get to make your own, choosing your favourite filling! Tickets include entry to the museum so you?ll also get to explore our galleries and synagogue and even try out one of our family activity backpacks! WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW This workshop is open to all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult. We use Kosher approved ingredients but the food is not Beth Din supervised. Ingredients are vegetarian, and the recipe contains dairy, eggs and gluten. Please email gemma@manchesterjewishmuseum.com with any dietary requirements. Click here for information about access. If you have any additional access needs, e-mail gemma@manchesterjewishmuseum.com in advance so we can accommodate best we can. We encourage you to use public transport when travelling to the museum. Both the 41 and 135 buses stop on Cheetham Hill Road within 100m from the museum?s entrance at the Elizabeth Street and Derby Street stops.
