Manchester Jewellery Week

Manchester Jewellery Week
Manchester Jewellery Week arrives at HOME Arches with an exciting programme of exhibitions showcasing the work of contemporary jewellers from across the UK and beyond. Spanning three exhibitions and a special artist talk, the programme explores materiality, making, collaboration and the evolving possibilities of contemporary jewellery. Programme Highlights Snippets Arch 1 Gallery WindowsPresented by Precious Collective For Snippets, Precious Collective have created a series of new works inspired by photographs of contemporary Manchester, exploring the relationship between jewellery, place and material culture. At the heart of the exhibition are three provocations: What would Mancunian materiality look like? How can the city influence or inform our making? How can jewellery echo a sense of place? Through these questions, the exhibition invites visitors to consider how jewellery can reflect the character, textures and identity of Manchester. Throughout Arches 1, 2 & 3 THEN + NOW DIALOGUE Collective THEN + NOW is a retrospective journey through 27 years of exhibitions from DIALOGUE Collective, an energetic and adventurous art jewellery group known for its playful and inventive approach.
