It has become tradition for the audience to honour the group by dressing in all-white attire, as the group has often worn while performing.

 

Following a dispute with original founder Frankie Beverly, who died in 2024, long-time Maze band members, Jubu, Vance Taylor, Larry Kimpel, Calvin Napper and Daniel Weatherspoon along with original member Roame, who came up with the name, left and started their own group, TMF "The Music Forever" Formerly of Maze.  They finally a signed a worldwide licensing deal with the estate of Frankie Beverly in 2025 to perform under the Maze name.
