Reaching no.18 in the UK charts with their 2010 album "The Courage of Others", Texan band Midlake are one of America's most successful and celebrated folk rock acts.
With a fondness for the look and feel of past times, they are in part inspired by the soft(er) rock of the early-to-mid 1970s - from Neil Young and America to Fleetwood Mac - while also looking to slightly earlier, and definitely British, trad-tainted folk with a gorgeously analogue-warm electro-acoustic sound.
