The Neil Cowley Trio burst onto the scene with an exciting sound that fizzed with energy; their muscular anthems, galloping grooves and tender moments placed them at the forefront of a new movement in jazz, paving the way for 6 highly acclaimed albums over 10 years.

London born Pianist and composer Neil Cowley then pressed ‘pause’ to pursue a solo career – no less successful – taking in neo classical composition and electronica beofre reuniting with the Trio after seven years in 2024.

Renowned for his dry humour and engaging presence, Cowley is a brilliant composer and dazzling pianist and the trio flame still burns bright with the ‘Neil Cowley Trio sound’- head-nodding wonky grooves, killer melodies, emotionally charged pieces with a glass like fragility laced throughout.

In 2026, they take on a new project, Built on Bach, a live show exploring the subtle but powerful influence of Johann Sebastian Bach on Cowley’s original music. Rather than reworking or reinterpreting Bach’s compositions or Inventions, the trio use them as a creative jumping-off point — improvising, extemporising, and freely exploring wherever the music leads - revealing Bach’s presence within their own distinctive, unmistakable sound.
