In August 2023, Hank Williams-influenced Virgina country-folk singer-songwriter Christopher Lunsford - who performs under his grandfather's name "Oliver Anthony" in homage to the Depression era in which he lived - became the first artist to debut at no.1 on the US Billboard chart without any prior charting history.
His viral sensation self-released single "Rich Men North of Richmond" also reached no.23 in the UK.
