Quatuor Danel - Ravel's Sonata for Violin and Cello
The leading French string quartet - who have been "Quartet in Residence" at the University of Manchester since 2005 - perform Ravel's Sonata for Violin and Cello, and Aulis Sallinen's String Quartet No. 3.
Gilles and Yovan perform Ravel’s duet for violin and cello. The full quartet is united in performance of Sallinen’s set of variations on the traditional fiddle tune – Peltoniemi Hintrik’s Funeral March.
