Quatuor Danel Public Workshop with Dr Anne Hyland & The Schubert Institute UK
The leading French string quartet - who have been "Quartet in Residence" at the University of Manchester since 2005 - are joined by Dr Anne Hyland who explores the rich expressive and emotional worlds of two chamber-music compositions from the extremities of Schubert’s career.
The workshop will also feature the unveiling of a newly discovered string quartet by one of Schubert’s lesser-known contemporaries, Joseph Mayseder, offering a rare glimpse into the broader musical landscape of Schubert’s Vienna.
Dr Hyland will be joined in conversation by Dr Joe Davies, internationally acclaimed Schubert scholar and Chair of the Schubert Institute UK.
