RNCM Wind Orchestra - George Lewis in Residence
The RNCM's dynamic Wind Orchestra opens with a fantastic musical depiction of George E. Lewis’s hometown of Chicago. Big Shoulders Sharp Elbows takes it inspiration from American poetry celebrating the Windy City and is the first of two pieces by RNCM PRiSM’s Artist-in-Residence.
RNCM concerto competition winner Oliver Bartlett also takes us on a virtuosic musical journey through Henri Tomasi’s Trombone Concerto amidst performances of new works from composition students past and present, Adam Webster and Lucy Armstrong.
