SCATTERCHILD - A NEW OCEAN AWAITS
Part gig, part film screening, part theatre sharing
This intimate event will explore the creation of SCATTERCHILD?s new album, placing its themes under the lens in a one-of-a-kind live performance that?s part gig, part film screening, and part theatre sharing.
The melodic rock of SCATTERCHILD is best summed up by two words: sad yelling. Drawing on the emotionality of Radiohead, the spikiness of The Strokes, and the theatrical pomp?of David Bowie, SCATTERCHILD's music is rife with frenetic beats, intricate instrumentation and?powerful vocals.
Known and respected within the Manchester scene, they released their debut album An Everyday Landscape in 2024. It was supported by a highly popular tour, high-concept music videos, a sold-out album launch show, and a live session filmed in a church. They followed it up with an expanded deluxe version in 2025, released by indie label Bread Records.
SCATTERCHILD?s music and visuals have always been bold. Their live shows feature projections, costumes, and props (including a rotary telephone fitted with a mic), adding a layer of flair and theatricality to the performance. Always keen to create a world for the music to inhabit, SCATTERCHILD's Jay Plent's work on the graphic design and music videos of the project is as vital as the producing and writing.
Whether its sweeping drone shots, slow-motion nightmares of figures in the moors, or Jay himself running a bleep test until his nose bleeds, SCATTERCHILD do nothing by halves. Ambition is everything.
