A lowkey legend who has amassed an impressive 250 million streams, Shakka has long been the featured artist of choice for anyone after a touch of authentic British RnB. After celebrating a massive few years with platinum hit “Man Down”, co-writing Ella Eyre’s hit single “Answerphone”, and landing writing cuts with Dua Lipa & Sean Paul, this homegrown Notting Hill hero is finally getting the mainstream love he deserves.
He already has two MOBOs for Best RnB/Soul Artist already sitting in his studio and a stack of collaborations with some of the UK’s greatest artists – we’re talking JME, AlunaGeorge, Sigma, Basement Jaxx, Ghetts and more – but Shakka is entering a new exciting chapter in his career, returning to his RnB roots, taking influence from legendary group Jodeci, musical phenomenon Lauryn Hill, as well as Party Next Door & Ty Dolla Sign.
