Sophia Stoyanovich & Derek Wang
The daughter of composer Patrick Stoyanovich and conductor Elizabeth Stoyanovich, American violinist Sophia Stoyanovich grew up on Bainbridge Island, Washington State and has earned acclaim for her “lustrous tone” and “superb musical instincts” from Fanfare.
Since her debut with the Seattle Symphony, she has performed internationally, including solo debuts at the Wiener Konzerthaus and Carnegie Hall’s Weill Hall.
Pianist Derek Wang, praised for his “pure poetry” by Seen and Heard International, won the 2021 New York Liszt Competition and studied at Juilliard and Yale.
